Then at 15.40, we’re looking at how social media has changed the way the PR industry works. Moderated by Danny Rogers, editor of PR Week, a host of experts will be discussing what the latest developments mean for the industry, and how you can benefit.

At 16.20, after the networking break, we’re hearing from the legendary Brian Solis, digital media extrodinaire, live via video-link direct from Canada.

At 16.50, we’re talking about how social media comes into its own during a crisis. With recent events around the world, the power of social media to help organisations and individuals stay in touch has been perfectly demonstrated, we’ve got a cracking panel of people who do it day in day out, to talk you through the ins and outs.

Track two

We’ve got a brilliant afternoon keynote on Track two today, with Josh Williams, CEO of Gowalla, being interviewed live on stage at 14.00 by Tech Crunch’s Mike Butcher. Then we’re looking at the rise of social shopping straight after at 14.30, followed by the group buying and daily deals panel with Peter Briffet, UK MD of Living Social, and Kate Garraway, ITV Daybreak presenter and founder of goodypass.com. At 16.10 we’re looking at how social media can be used for social good, with speakers from Ecademy, Oxfam, Comic Relief and Just Giving. How can you harness social media for fund raising? Here are some things to think about:

In this afternoon’s Social Media HUB sessions we’re looking at a wide range of key social media issues. Starting off after lunch it’s the social media tool box, where a few chosen brands and services will demonstrate some of the cutting edge tools currently and very nearly available on the social media scene.

Then at 3pm, David Parfect from FaceBook UK is looking at how to build your Facebook marketing plan, expect this one to be busy…  At 16.00, Edward ‘Teddie’ Cowell, SEO director at Guava, will be discussing how the increasingly personalised nature of search will affect SEO, followed by a session from Ross Breadmore on making social media marketing work for a large brand. At 4.45, Joel Davies from the DMA, will be going through how to create a Twitter marketing plan.

Then, it’s time to head back, get your party shoes on, and head over to Amika on Kensington High Street for the networking party!
