Kicking off with the big question – how to integrate social media into a traditional marketing strategy – our panel debate will cover what’s working and what isn’t, and look at how social media can become more main-stream.

Mobile is huge in Africa! MXit, Motribe, Nokia and Nike discuss how social media can be used as part of your mobile marketing tool kit.

Consumer and business brands sharing their experiences. This session includes contributions from Nike, Woolworths, Standard Bank, MWEB, 24.com, AVIS, Deloitte, Johannesburg Stock Exchange, SAfm and AB World Food. Learn from their extensive experience.

Getting to grip with the basics: Setting up a Facebook business fan page, how to effectively tweet, become connected on linkedin and much more – this session is taking part in the free-to-attend workshop and will cover all the basics needed to get your social media strategy going.

Speakers from the creators of Africa’s app ecosystem – Hear directly from operators, handset and platform providers including: Vodacom, MTN, Google, Blackberry, Microsoft, Samsung, Motorola, Acer and Etisalat.

Marketing case-studies and discussions showing how apps are being applied as marketing tools and can be implemented to resolve real world problems. Hear presentations from South Africa Tourism, PowerTime, 24.com, Club Droid (US based urban music promoter app), and two speakers looking at apps for mHealth and mEduation.

Developer workshops: This free to attend area within the expo will showcase technical presentations from Blackberry, Microsoft, Android, iOS; and developer panel discussions and the Nokia WIPJam!  We recommend you get involved!
